Mindful Self-Compassion Online 8 week course
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is a training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. In these difficult times, it is important to learn ways in which we can treat ourselves better. The MSC program is based on ground-breaking research of Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer.
Why participate in this 8 week course?
-
Practice self-compassion in daily life
-
Motivate yourself with kindness not criticism
-
Handle emotions with greater ease
-
Transform difficult relationships and interactions
These topics and others will be explored in a safe environment with teachers who bring their authentic selves forward. This course is helpful for anyone interested in MSC and for therapists/health care professionals who want to incorporate these skills into their practice. It is also useful for parents who wish to model self-compassion for their children. There will be meditations and movement during each class but no previous mindfulness training is required.
MSC will arm you with tools to cope with life’s hardships including: pandemic fear and worry, work-related stress, parenting, relationship issues, caregiver fatigue, grief and loss, fertility and illness.

Mindful Self Compassion for Teens
Available upon request
Treating yourself with Care: Mindful Self Compassion for Teens teaches core principles and practices that enable teens to respond to the challenges of their growing years with kindness and self-compassion.
This program is rooted in the three key components of self-compassion: self-kindness, common humanity and mindful, balanced awareness. These elements serve to open the hearts of kids to their own struggles so they can learn to give themselves what they truly need, recognize that they are not the only one facing challenges, and encourage an open-minded acceptance and enjoyment in their lives.
